Fun-filled Weekend or Thank the Lord it's Monday.

Friday morning, we left early for a homeschool group meeting. We did this (with 3 extra kids joining us) and Tae Kwon Do lessons until 2:00. At 2:00, I took Ethan to band and attempted to clean the house somewhat. At 3:00, I went to church where I got to spend the rest of the evening baking Christmas treats with some awesome gals from our Youth Group.

We had a BLAST.

We made a MESS.

After much laughter, caroling, and eating they came over to my house and watched Elf and stayed the night. The boys stayed with friends and Chris stayed with the guys across the street.

The next morning, we all packed up and hopped on the bus for an hour long drive to the mall. We shopped and ate at a Mongolian Grill (soooooooo goood) and then drove home, arriving at 3:30.

I made chili and attempted (in vain) to clean house for company coming over at 5:00 for dinner. It was our annual cookie decorating with the Smiths.....one of our favorite Christmas traditions. The dads took the kids to the parade while us gals got to hang out for a little while and get the cookies baking. Then the kids came home, ate chili, and began the destruction decorating.

They are an amazing family and blessed us more than they will ever know.

Yesterday, was much more relaxed. We intended to go watch Handel's Messiah, but couldn't keep running. We played Settlers of Catan with the boys all afternoon before heading off for play practice and then the service to watch Joel sing at the evening service....and then run around with the Youth Group to finish caroling and handing out more of the goodies.

You know what? I'm not going ANYWHERE today.
