Ylang Ylang

I don't remember what inspired me, but about a year ago, I purchased some essential oils to attempt some form of aromatherapy. Ylang Ylang, Clove, and Geranium Oil supposedly produce a calming effect. I pulled them out today and mixed up a batch of "calming" spray and squirted it around the house in an attempt to help Chris relax.

Chris walked in and wrinkled his nose. "What is THAT?"

Oh, well. Lesson learned.

Ten minutes later, I was mixing up brownies. I licked my finger and started gagging and sputtering. I had essential oils all over my hands and had forgotten to wash them. My throat felt oddly cold all the way down. I ran to google, because I'm a freak that way.

Chris watched as I ran to the computer and then ran to the fridge. "Drink at least a pint of milk immediately upon accidental ingestion. Seek professional medical help immediately." How much is a pint? I can't remember. Oh, yeah. Got it. Glug, glug, glug.

"Okay then," he piped up, shaking his head. "I'm off to work on someone's computer."

"WHAT?!? I just ingested something highly poisonous and you're leaving me????"

"Um. I'll have my cell phone on me. Give me a call if you starting feeling dead."

His clear-headed calmness quickly convinced me that my bizarre dizziness was due to the running, the chugging, and the worrying. I'm so glad I have him around. We really do balance each other out rather well.

Husbands are great with that, aren't they? "Call me if you're starting to feel dead." Too, too funny. Forget essential oils, I think brownies are the best way to help anyone relax, well, except that other thing;o)
