What? You've never heard of Al before? Well, to be honest, I didn't think I had either. But when he shared the name of that small business, I knew he was kin. Mr. Malekovic represents Country Bob's All-Purpose Sauce. My family has called this divine sauce "Uncle Bob's" for years. See? Kin! I wish I could say it was something the kids accidentally came up with, but I actually am the one who first got it wrong when I was a kid. I insisted it was called Uncle Bob's. When I finally realized it was Country Bob's and not Uncle Bob's, I just used my imagination and declared he really was my uncle and that was why I was permitted to still call it Uncle Bob's. We've perpetuated the myth with our own children who might actually believe they have a distant Uncle Bob somewhere who makes this famous sauce. This myth may be hard to dissuade now that the kids know "Uncle Bob" sent us a package last week containing said sauce.
Mr. Malekovic was kind enough to let me ask him a few questions. I had to ask about his name (not Bob) and about his C.E.O. Here is his gracious reply:
There was a Country Bob. He passed away about 7 years ago. He was my daughters father-in-law. Bob and his son Terry and Me and my son Reed formed a corporation 25 years ago and off we went. It was very hard in the beginning since none of us had and sales and manufacturing experience. But with the Lord's help, He got us through and we can't thank Him enough. I have 3 children, 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, we all live within 5 miles of each other and all go to church together. I accepted Christ and was baptized when I was 29 and by knowing Him and what He teaches (love, joy, peace, patience kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control) He has made Us what we are today. Thanks for taking time for us and God Bless! Al Malekovic
Now, let's get on to the sauce. If you do not know what I'm talking about, you are missing out. Truly. You're missing out on something spectacular. Do not sniff your nose and mutter something about not being interested in BBQ sauce. THIS is no barbecue sauce. Neither is it a steak sauce. No, this is in a different class altogether. It is good on just about any dish that doesn't contain chocolate as a main ingredient (possibly those dishes, too, but I'm not brave enough to try it.) My children eat it with anything that they would otherwise use ketchup, BBQ sauce, or Ranch dressing. Next time you are at a steak house, or Cracker Barrel, or whatever....ask for Country Bob's. I am pleasantly surprised at the number of restaurants that now offer it. Mmmmmm, Colton's. It's been a while. Now I'm craving steak. Or Baked Beans. I made killer baked beans on Sunday with
Enough talk, let's get to the giveaway!

Entry #1 I have heard of Country Bob's sauce but have not found it in our stores. I even had a free coupon for it a couple of years ago, but couldn't find it on our shelves. Thanks for the opportunity to win this yummy item !

Oh, I just love to try new Sauces. Went to the Country Bobs Website and looked at the recipes. Now my mouth is watering. I found the Country Bob's Meatloaf delcious recipe and got to thinking I haven't made a meatloaf in years. Thank-you.
I have a weakness for cookbooks, and my husband has a weakness for new sauces so I'm in. And, hey, if I win I can make Creole Roast. I love Cajun foods.
Oh, you can get me through my blog if need be.
This looks like a great giveaway! I'd love the chance to win. Thanks for hosting it! :)
