Daydreaming

Chris and I have been tossing around the crazy daydream idea of moving into an RV and traveling with the kids. We are working on an online notebooking website and Chris does computer repair through Crossloop online.  Incomes for on the road?  These are things we enjoy even if we never pursue the daydream, but.......wouldn't it be loverly? The 'what if' has been part of the motivation to downsize our clutter (#1 on the list being the claustrophobia the stuff was causing.) As I look through my things, I think, "Would I be dragging this across the country in an RV? Is this item THAT important to me?" We would be in very close quarters for a very long time and we don't need stuff weighing us down. Camping for two days in a muddy tent really spurred on the daydreaming. We loved every second of it. I want to be with my family. I don't want us running off in a million different directions. I want us together. And, WOW, imagine the homeschool field trips!

sidenote: I realize "traveling" is the correct spelling, but it bothers me. I desperately want to spell it with two ll's: travelling. Otherwise, it looks like "trave" + "ling", which makes no sense at all.

Loverly or lovely? Anytime I hear "wouldn't it be lovely?" I instantly think of My fair lady and start singing.....I could have danced all night.

Yes! I wrote this at the beginning of the week and post-dated it.....I've been singing the song to myself all week since! We're so on the same wavelength, sis.

sounds like a loverly plan to me.:)

Funny, but I've been dreaming about taking off in a gypsy vardo. That's more of a solitary dream, though. Although we considered the RV thing with all the kids at one point, I don't know if I could handle those close quarters and not having time and space to myself for that long.

BTW, the British spelling is "travelling". Sometimes I just like their spellings better, and sometimes they're all wrong:o)

What a wonderful educational experience Hillbillys on the move would be. I have to say my heart drops a bit every time this dream is mentioned.

Do it! Hit the road! Just don't rent the "big green turd" ... get one like the homeschooling family in RV. Have you been in an RV? My father in law has one (for sale, possibly) ... you ought to at least get in one and get a feel for it! I share that same dream, Jenn! (Nancy)

I think either spelling is acceptable, Jenn ;)

So would you be selling your house? I mean, like, what would you DO with your house while you were away?

I think it would be fun for a year. Then I would go nuts not having a solid house and neighbors or church family :)
