Christmas Parade!

I love our small town. I love that main street closes down and the community pours out to cheer on the parade.

I love the Santa on horseback.

The Elvis walking his lawnmower swan?

Honor participated in the parade tonight, but all you can see is the back of her puffy pink hood.

She had a blast throwing candy. Most of the floats tossed candy that didn't make it much past the floats themselves. We were doing good to have candy hit our feet. But when Honor threw candy, she pelted people in the face, shouting "FIRE IN THE HOLE!!!!" When her supply dwindled she shouted to her teacher, "WE'RE RUNNING OUT OF AMMO!!!!"

Ethan marched in the parade with the Middle School band. He bought some battery powered LED lights today with his lawnmowing money. Good thing, because otherwise, you couldn't see him at all in my terrible pictures. He's the one wearing the lighted scarf, standing two feet shorter than his classmates. Intimidating giants, we're not.

We were planning on driving around looking at lights after the parade, but everyone voted for cocoa and a warm house instead. The boys stayed the night with friends last night, so we had two days of advent to make up for. It was a great ending to a fun day.

Maybe you should sign Honor up for Little League? LOL

Our parade is next Saturday. They did night parades for a few years, but this year are going back to daytime.

Our town used to have a Christmas Parade a long time ago. Santa was escorted in by the KKK. Doesn't that just warm your heart? I'm glad they stopped this lovely little tradition long before we moved here and I'm glad your Santa comes in on horseback and is accompanied by Elvis. Sounds like you all had a great time.

Woohoo Ethan my man! I love the fact that he spent lawnmower money to adorn himself.

You can tell the little princess has brothers, "We're running out of ammo!" Heeeheeehe, the stuff that cracks me up.

Have a great day and don't even look at the time. Love ya :o)
