Christmas School

It's almost here! The kids are so excited! (okay, so am I!) Christmas School begins on Monday!!!!

In case you're new here, my family goes all out for Advent and we stop our regular homeschool lessons for an incredible month of focus on the birth of Christ and anticipation of His second coming. You wouldn't guess how enthusiastic we can be if you saw us all the way up to Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a precious holiday to us and not a whisper of a Christmas carol is to be heard in our house until we've all gone to bed full of turkey and dressing. But the weekend after Thanksgiving sees our home transformed with decorations and LOTS of Christmas music.

Monday morning, we'll begin Christmas lessons with lots of activities, cooking, and crafts. Last year, I shared a website that my husband and I created to share our Christmas lesson plans with other families. Unfortunately, we decided that might not be the best use of our budget this year, so we've had the site removed. However, all of the pages have been saved and I am slowly uploading them to a free blog website, entitled Advent Idea Box. I'm sure there's something there you can enjoy with your family, so stop on in! Also, I'd love to hear about your family's Christmas traditions, so drop me a note and share!

What a wonderful idea.
I would have loved when I was in school if we just stopped and learned all about Christmas.
