A cd, left upside down on the desk, created this beautiful rainbow on the ceiling.
This is what the girls and I did when the boys went on their field trip the other night: ate chick food in the forbidden Living Room.
And this is why we can't get any sleep in our own bed. This is the least amount of space she can take up. She generally stretches to twice this width, shoving us both out of the bed at the same time. And she's very hot natured, so don't dare try to cover yourself up with a blanket because it might accidentally touch her, and we can't have that now can we?
And this is the prettiest cucumber that has come out of our garden. I don't know what strange kind of cucumbers these are, but I will not be saving any seeds to replant next year. These things are spiky! They have hundreds of razor sharp needles all over them and their stems. And they are deformed. And small. And bitter.
But I'm not. Well, I'm kind of deformed after 4 kids. And I'm kind of on the small side. But I'm NOT bitter. In fact, I'm doing down-right swell! We had our first day of school today and it went very well. We even took a 2 hour break in the middle to go swimming. Honor had a preschool Open House this evening and really liked her teachers and her class. For a class of about a dozen students, there are 3 teachers. Her name was already on the board, listing the birthdays for September. That this stranger would recognize her birthday, a very very important day, instantly endeared her to my daughter. Then we came home and I had an intro bible study. I ordered 5 books and 10 women showed up! The book is 'Created to be His Helpmeet' and I was surprised so many women were interested in participating. It is a difficult topic to tackle. There are 4 more ladies planning to attend as well. I'm excited! Next Tuesday night is our first night and we'll be discussing the first 3 chapters if you'd like to join in my new blog fodder. The Tuesday after that, I'm also tackling "Don't Make Me Count to Three," another bible study that I'm attending. I'm excited about both studies, but I've never tried juggling two at once before. We'll see how this goes. Both studies will be done by November though, so things will be calmer for the holiday season.

Thanks for another study tip...I love the Don't Make Me Count To Three...
Hey Jenn,
I can relate about sharing a bed with a toddler! Britt and I say the same thing about Luke and he doesn't like the covers either!
Your Bible study group sounds great! I'm glad to hear you've had a big turn out.
Best wishes on your first week of school! This is our 3rd week and so far so good! I'm just glad to be back in a routine. We get it done so we can go out to swim!
Have a great week!
I just love Bible studies, too!
Our girls are past the little stage, but I still remember that very well! Amazing how someone so
small can take up so much room! Cute pictures.
I'm glad school is going well for you all!
I just want to say, be very careful with that "Created to be His Helpmeet". I just read a few of the Amazon reviews, and I'm sure you did, too, and while I haven't read the book, the reviews fall in line with what I already know of the author. I should probably just keep my mouth shut, but I can't. I like you too much.
What amazing pictures!!!
Thanks for sharing...
Thanks all! Jennie, thank you so much for your concern. I never checked the Amazon reviews. I will be sure to read this with a grain of salt and with my eyes wide open. I appreciate your honesty more than words can say! Keep talkin'!
