I like to whisper, too!

I have my first-ever case of laryngitis. I've had a cold and it seems to have travelled down and infected my larynx. I'm trying not to use my voice at all, but I keep forgetting. I have songs stuck in my head and when I open my mouth to sing them, it startles me each time. I know whispering is terrible, but it's occasionally necessary. The kids have responded to my whispering by whispering back to me. Joel even attempted to use sign language with me. A friend on the phone was whispering back to me by the end of our conversation. It made me smile.

I hope you feel better soon! I lost my voice once and quickly realized how much I talk!

It's a very strange feeling not having a voice. A couple of years ago, I lost my voice before the Community Choir's Messiah. I had to not sing at practice for 2 or 3 weeks to try to "save" my voice for the performance. It's hard not to sing... especially at Christmastime!

Hope you're better soon!

We must have caught the same bug, although my voice has finally come back this week...:) Hang in there!

Been there done that!! I had to whisper to my patients. They handled it well. Better than I did. Hope you are feeling better soon. and ready to sing again. It's frustrating when a person can't break out in song!!

I lose my voice nearly every year (and sometimes twice a year!) SO I understand. I cannot tell you how many people will say something along the lines of, "Oh, Kevin is getting a nice break!" hehe
