Here's a link to our Worship Service at church yesterday....it starts with me singing Chris Rice's song "Welcome to Our World." I asked our poor piano guy to totally change it just two days before performing because my cold wasn't letting me get out the high notes. It's a bit rough, but I know God doesn't care. And since it was for His glory and not mine, I'm sharing the link anyway. If you keep listening until almost halfway through the playbar, you can hear a professional sing O, Holy Night. He grew up in our church and has gone on to pursue his career in music - opera, I believe. But he came back for the holidays and blessed us with one of my favorite Christmas songs, though a bit fancier than I usually listen to.
It was a great service and a great start to a perfect day.
After church, we had a delicious Christmas dinner with my family. Presents opened amidst squeals and grins...and I think perhaps a few tears - were there tears, mom?
Then all of us went to see National Treasure - an AWESOME movie! With only 3 bathroom trips from little girls! Sarah told me later that the movie scared her. I asked her what part scared her and she said "The Context." Sounds like an impressive vocabulary, but don't be fooled. Her next sentence was "I don't like penguins. No penguins in my house." I have no idea what she was talking about.
Finally, we finished the day with our annual Cookie Decorating party at our friends' house. I'd love to share pictures, but I can't find the camera at the moment. Surprised?
This is probably it for a few days, so Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!!!!

Jenn, that was so lovely! You have a beautiful voice. It's nice to finally hear you! :)
I've tagged you for the Seven Things About Me meme. No hard feelings if you don't want to play though:o)
Penguins can be quite frightening.
Merry Christmas!
