Kitty eggs

Remember those Kitty Eggs? I don't know how I forgot such an important detail, but ...um, er....it hatched. Yes, back during our freak ice storm, a full grown cat apparently sprung from it's egg.

And just try to convince my daughter otherwise.

*sigh* This child is so beautiful it hurts. I digress. But it's my blog, so I'm allowed.

Remember this being a fear of mine once upon a time? Yeah. Well. Our hatched kitty had kitties.

Four of the cutest little things you ever saw.

This adorable gal, now named Cindy, went home with a dear friend. The twin, white sistas went together to another family. I'm not a big animal person, but these little things did seem to be just the best of friends. I was thrilled they got to stay together.

And this fat little fuzzball with the skunk stripe stayed with us. His name is Pepe. The mama kicked the bucket found a new home just a week after weaning them, so we are down to one cat now. Honor found another kitten egg and started to throw it out in the yard, but I wasn't taking any chances. I sent the egg home with Cindy's new owner. Let them deal with it.

Oh, yeah! The kitten eggs! Well, I'm glad you thought to get rid of the new one.

we had some kitten eggs this spring. remember me frantically trying to give them away at the church picnic in may? everybody wants to play but no one took them home. three months later we have one "fixed" mama cat and two of her babies: horatio and gray cat. dan won't let me name that one because he's still trying to give it away. :)
